Opening times

Please note: On Thursday 21 July our car park and Hangars 3,4,5 will be closed to the public for a VIP event honouring 601 Squadron. If you intend travelling to us on this date and are not part of this event, please travel to us using public transport. 

Our London site is open every day of the week, including Bank Holiday weekends. Get ready for take-off and pre-book your timed entry now.

General Opening Hours 

Admission to all areas of the Museum is free of charge and donations are welcome.

10.00am - 5.00pm

Please note, vehicles may not park on our site before 10.00am, unless part of a pre-booked group. 

Admission times to our individual galleries are as follows:

Hangar 1 : closes at 5.00pm
Hangar 2 : last entry is at 4.45pm with it closing at 5:00pm
Hangars 3,4,5 :  last entry is at 4.00pm with this group of hangars closing at 4.30pm
Hangar 6 : last entry 4.30pm, closes at 4.45pm

Museum opening times are subject to alteration. While we are open some of our areas may be closed to assist the promotion of safe social distancing. Please be aware that from time-to-time, some areas of the Museum will have to be closed for Corporate Events. We aim to keep inconvenience to a minimum whilst making as many exhibits available as possible. Please refer to our London homepage before setting off on your journey.

10.00am - 5.00pm (Takeaway Service only from 4.30pm - 5.00pm)  applies March - October, Weekdays Only.

11.00am - 4.00pm (Takeaway Service only from 3.30pm - 4.00pm) Weekends and Holidays.

Every effort is made to keep the entire Museum open during scheduled opening times, is not always possible for health and safety reasons. We are not always able to give advance notification of any closures. We apologise for an inconvenience that this may cause. 

Closure Dates

Our London site will be closed 24 - 26 December 2022 and 1 January 2023.

Please note: The Museum regularly undertakes a programme of maintenance and conservation, so some exhibits or Hangars may be temporarily inaccessible. If you are visiting us to see something specific, please contact us in advance to ensure it that it is on display and available for public viewing.
