New Perspectives in Military Aviation Research

Hosted at the Royal Air Force Museum, London, the two-day conference will present research that offer new perspectives on military aviation, challenge the accepted historical consensus and review the powerful legacies of air power. The conference will have an interdisciplinary approach, including papers from  history, international relations and defence studies among other disciplines.

The Conference runs from Thursday 4 September through Friday 5 September, starting at 9am and finishing at 5pm on both days.

Location

This hybrid conference will be hosted in-person at the RAF Museum’s London site in the Lecture Theatre. The cost of attending the conference in-person for both days is £60; this covers registration, refreshments and lunch for both days.

The RAF Museum is making up to one third of the Conference tickets available at a concession price of £40. Concession tickets are intended for students, retired delegates and those who define themselves as being on a limited budget. Registration is required via Digitickets.

As the Conference commences before the Museum’s standard opening time, we ask attendees to enter via the low gate which connects the main car park to the outdoor space in front of Hangars 3, 4 and 5.
