A special invitation to members of local u3a groups – You are invited to join us for a day of historical discovery at the Royal Air Force Museum London (the site of the former RAF Hendon). Uncover the history of the London Aerodrome and the local area; explore the ‘innards’ of our collections with the aircraft conservation team; catch sight of some significant documents from our archive collection; get to grips with clothing and kit used by the aircrews of Bomber Command; take a tour of some of the highlights of our aircraft collection. While you’re here, why not head to our Hendon Kitchen restaurant to enjoy a coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.
