In celebration of International Women’s Day 2021, the RAF Museum are proud to host Beyond Image.
Beyond Image was started in 2017 by two young women from a local school supported by their teacher, in the hopes to break down barriers regarding gender and inclusivity within the workplace. With the aim of inspiring young females to succeed, Beyond Image invites speakers to discuss how they’ve overcome adversity to reach their career goals encourage the next generation of women to pursue careers in STEM and other typically male dominated industries.
The RAF Museum has created a short video of inspiring speakers from across a multitude of backgrounds and career pathways – to show that regardless of social, commercial and intellectual gender stereotypes, women can achieve incredible things!
Sometimes we need to overcome our fears and barriers otherwise they can stand in the way of our goals. Listen to Caroline Paige's incredible and inspiring story of being the first transgender officer to transition and openly serve in the UK Armed Forces.
Perhaps you don’t know what careers you are interested in? There are plenty of amazing resources online to help you get started:
The University of Wolverhampton have kindly shared some videos regarding different STEM careers that perhaps you may not have thought of before! Watch them below:
