Guided tours
The Museum can organise tours for pre-booked groups. We have a three tours we can offer you and your group:
• Bomber Command Tour (1-hour tour)
• National Cold War Exhibition Tour (1-hour tour)
• Battle of Britain Tour (1-hour tour)
All our guided tours are £9.00 per head. To get the group rate, your group must have a minimum of 8 people. If you are interested in booking a guided tour, please contact our Customer Care team at midlands@rafmuseum.org. We ask that you give us a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice so that we can make the necessary arrangements. We also ask that you confirm your final numbers a week before your visit as this will then be the amount charged on the day.
New: Family Tours
Are you visiting with budding young pilots in tow? Book one of our family tours, created especially to inspire the minds of our younger visitors. Hear the stories behind our exhibits as our guides share tales of aerial adventures and daring escapades.
What significance did a stuffed penguin have for one airman? How did a pilot save his plane while the wing was on fire? And just what were the grim effects of using castor oil in aircraft engines?
Finally, you will have the exciting opportunity to step on board our VC10. There you can take a seat in the cockpit and experience the thrill of being the captain of a large aircraft.
Tickets are £12.50 per child and £10.00 per adult—under 6s go free! The event is suitable for groups up to 10.
