Hangar 1 is now closed until summer 2027 while work commences on our Inspiring Everyone: Midlands Development Programme.
This transformation of Hangar 1 will include a new exhibition that explores the role of the RAF from 1980 through to space and cyber defence. It will also create a dedicated Learning Centre, alongside more green areas for visitors to enjoy.
This has been made possible thanks to The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
