We offer a vast range of exciting activities across the Curriculum, from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 5 and beyond.
This coming school year (2018-19) sees the launch of a new Learning Programme with an increase in the number of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) workshops on offer.
The perennial favourites are still there, but why not consider booking for one of our new sessions as well? Key Stage 1 students can explore the use of everyday materials in early flying machines in our ‘Magnificent Materials’ workshop, whilst upper Key Stage 2 students can get hands-on with coding in ‘Pilot Skills: do you have what it takes to be an RAF pilot?’
For our Secondary School learners, ‘Under Pressure’ (KS3) explores atmospheric pressure, forces and motions to help answer the question ‘How do pilots stay alive in the air?’, and - new to the Museum - is a giant interactive debating table where students (Upper KS3 and above) can take part in facilitated debate on artificial intelligence. Should drones be allowed in our skies, and should we be worried about AI?
If you would prefer us to come to you, then why not book ‘Pilots of The Caribbean’? An interactive drama and engaging workshop which tells the stories of African and Caribbean RAF personnel who fought for the United Kingdom.
Please follow the links on the left to discover what is on offer. We look forward to welcoming you!
The Museum is a public building and has Public Liability Insurance of £5 million.
