Join us for the Spitfire Family Run and the Spitfire Family Dash in 2022. The races are perfect for the younger ones but can also be completed by the whole family.
A bit too young to run the Spitfire 10K? That doesn’t mean you can’t get involved in one of our races! Everyone can join in by taking part in the Spitfire Family Run or the Spitfire Family Dash. Book your tickets now.
Both races take off from our start line on our ‘airfield’. The Spitfire Family Dash is the perfect race for our youngest participants and everyone who wants to join a gentle fun run. You can walk, run, hop, skip or jump your way to the finish line. Why not dress up or run with your favourite cuddly toy – or take the smallest ones on a run in a pushchair? The race will take you around our trackway before crossing the finish line. The Spitfire Family Run is a 2KM race around the Museum’s Historic Hangars. Your race will be timed and the fastest in each age group will receive a prize at the end of the race.
Upon completion of both races, participants will be rewarded with a unique medal, designed by the winners of our medal design competition.
The races are suitable for all ages. Children under 11 must be under supervision by an adult during the event. You will receive your race pack at least 2 weeks in advance, which will include race number and instructions for the day. Please note that we require the details of those taking part when you book tickets, entries are not transferable.

New for 2022! We are offering the chance to purchase a running Spitfire Family Run t-shirt, which are available in various children’s sizes. You can collect this when you arrive on site.

Entry Information
Tickets should be booked in advance of the race, as we are unable to guarantee tickets will be available on the day. Entrants will be sent a race pack with information and race numbers, this should arrive two weeks before the race. Medals will be handed out at the finish line to those participants with race numbers. Please note that the dash is not a timed event.

Get creative and design your medal! Design a medal for the Spitfire Family Run and Spitfire Family Dash. The winning design will be produced and handed out to all participants as they cross the finish line at both our Cosford and London events.
We are looking for a design that showcases the iconic Spitfire, the RAF and those inspiring people who serve! Get inspired by the RAF Museum and the aircraft on display. Imagine running in this unique location with hundreds of others. Do you love the iconic Spitfire is much as we do? Incorporate the Spitfire or its unique shape and elements into your medal to make it stand out.
The winners will not only receive a free entry for themselves and up to 5 friends at the RAF Museum London or Cosford, but they will also receive an amazing Spitfire prize bundle from the RAF Museum Shop.
