The Community Engagement team work on a wide range of projects, events and workshops with and for the local community. You may see our team working with a youth group onsite to develop a new placemat for use in our site restaurant, hosting our open family Iftar or taking our spitfire cockpit out on tour to a nearby city centre.

Get Involved:
We are pleased to announce the return of our Open Family Iftar on Saturday 28 February 2026 at the RAF Museum Midlands. This celebratory event involves an evening of craft and STEM activities before people are invited to break their fast together.
We are running a competition for uniformed organisations (such as Scouts, Girl Guides and Cadets) to design a celebration Iftar badge.
Completed designs must submitted to community-midlands@rafmuseum.org by midday on Sunday 30 November 2025. You can download the activity template here.
