The services we offer
Information about the collection and access to it is given via the Museum’s website in the research section. The Navigator feature gives online access to a selection of over 40,000 records from the Museum’s catalogue, including images of objects.
There is a page on the website for aircraft displayed at our London and Cosford sites, from which detailed histories can be downloaded.
Access to over 300,000 personnel records from the First World War is available via rafmuseumstoryvault.org.uk. The records include casualty cards for member of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force, together with the text of the RAF Muster Roll and the first Air Force List.

Advice and guidance
In accordance with Section 3.18 of the Museums Association’s Code of Ethics http://www.museumsassociation.org/ethics/code-of-ethics the Museum is not able to offer valuations of material held by the public.
Media releases
Releases are placed on the respective news pages for London and Cosford and are removed once their relevance, as far as the public is concerned, has lapsed. Press releases in the Media Vault remain to form an online archival resource for journalists to use.
Publication for the purposes of Part 6 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007
This relates to the immunity from seizure of Cultural Objects on loan from overseas. The RAF Museum has not made any applications for immunity under the Act.
