Fairey Long Range Monoplane

In 1929, at a time of relative peace in Europe, countries competed against each other to make and break new aviation records. The Fairly Long Range Monoplane was the first aircraft to successfully fly from England to British India (Karachi) non-stop.

View a model of this achievement of British engineering industry in ‘RAF: First to the Future’, an exhibition that examines the importance of on-going technological development for the RAF during the 20th Centenary and explores what 21 Century may bring.

Just one of 100 reasons to visit the RAF Museum.
