This vehicle, designated Mk1a by the Royal Air Force, is capable of pulling a load of up to 102 tons up an incline of 1:20. The tractor is powered by a Perkins V8-510 (8360cc) engine and has an automatic gearbox with a two-wheel hydraulic system. The vehicle is capable of moving any of the exhibits on display at the Museum and is still used frequently.
