Airborne adventures ahead on NEW ParadropVR experience

Published on: 1 August 2022

This summer holiday, families visiting the RAF Museum Midlands will be the first to enjoy a multi-sensory flying experience on board the new ParadropVR.

Sensational VR content combined with a thrilling range of motion will transport users into a virtual world of airborne adventures. Suitable for the rookie explorer, or racer flyers amongst us, ParadropVR is now open and offers Museum visitors an exhilarating flying experience.

Glide through the skies on this immersive paragliding flight, channelling your inner RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team abilities. Explore the desert, mountains and even outer space, while flying through virtual rings on a mission to collect points, mastering dips and turns along the way.

Barry Smith, Director of Visitor and Commercial Development, at the RAF Museum said:

‘We’re excited to have the installation of Paradrop VR as part of our offering, allowing visitors to feel what it would be like to parachute. We see attractions such as ParadropVR playing an important role in education and learning in the future, as it uses new technologies to deliver realistic RAF inspired experiences to our visitors. It will form part of our new Flight Zone, where visitors can also enjoy a range of virtual flying experiences.’

This brand-new attraction is part of the RAF Museum’s Flight Zone, packed with flying entertainment for the whole family. Experiences on offer include flying with the Red Arrows in the amazing 4D theatre, combining motion picture with physical effects. Pop on your VR goggles and transport yourself into the cockpit of a real Spitfire and take a flight in 360°! Or feel the speed and agility of the Eurofighter Typhoon onboard the Flight Simulator, with a pilot’s eye view from the cockpit. Experiences cost £5 per person with 10% savings available when purchased in advance. CLICK HERE to pre-book your Flight Zone experience.
