Object details

This adoption is in celebration of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The cap dates back to the 1920’s and was sported (pardon the pun) by apprentice’s at Cranwell. At 15 or 16, apprentices would undertake three years of technical training, passing out as highly qualified mechanics. Sports were a key part of a boy apprentice’s life, with regular afternoon sessions being devoted to all sorts of training and games.

The cap is the perfect adoption for any Cranwell attendee, budding athlete, or lover of sport.
