This adoption is in celebration of the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The Royal Air Force School of Physical Training was formed on the same day as the Royal Air Force, 1 April 1918. It is responsible for preparing instructors to lead physical training education and activities throughout the Air Force. The school is currently located at RAF Cosford, which is adjacent to the RAF Museum’s Midlands site!

The RAF physical training instructor badge is formed from three arms bearing gymnastic exercise clubs, which were commonly used for aerobic exercise during the first half of the 20^th century.

This adoption is ideal for any trainer, as well as those with a close connection to RAF Cosford.
