After Hours Talks: Falklands 40 

Join us after the Museum closes for an evening with our curatorial team discovering the RAF stories of the Falklands Conflict. Dr Peter Johnston, our leading historian on the conflict, will be holding a talk under our Vulcan. There will the chance to see items from our archives that relate to the conflict including a logbook from the Blackbuck mission. Hangars 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be open to explore and our knowledgeable team ready to take you over the barriers for that extra special experience.  

There is also the opportunity to book access to our Vulcan, this is an additional ticket and we have limited slots available.   

This event is free to members, but non-members can book at ticket by clicking below. Tickets are £10.00. Access to our Vulcan is £30.00, but please read our terms and conditions before booking.

Falklands Tour  

Join us for a special series of our experience tours taking place on Saturdays throughout July, August and September. Discover the role the Royal Air Force played in the Falklands War and beyond. From Operation Black Buck to the creation of RAF Mount Pleasant, find out how the RAF supported operations to retake the islands in 1982 and how the legacy of the conflict shaped the RAF. Get up close to objects and aircraft associated with the conflict, including the Avro Vulcan B2, Handley Page Victor and the Falklands Chapel.

RAF Museum Lecture Series 

The RAF Museum’s 2022 research programme includes Lunchtime Lectures at the RAF Museum, Cosford; Air Power Lectures, co-organised with the Centre for War and Diplomacy at Lancaster University; Air Power Seminars, co-organised with the University of Wolverhampton; and the Trenchard Lecture series, hosted at the Royal Aeronautical Society. You can attend these lectures in person or join us online as we live-stream from the venue.
