Chocks away – The Spitfire 10K is back!
Take off this August as the Spitfire 10K returns to RAF Museum Midlands for its 10th Anniversary. Don’t miss the amazing opportunity to join hundreds of runners challenging themselves to complete our unique 10-kilometre racecourse on the Airfield of the RAF Cosford.
The Spitfire 10K will be flying back to RAF Museum Midlands on Sunday 25th August 2024. Our unique racecourse will take runners onto the Airfield of RAF Cosford, alongside wartime hangars and the air traffic control tower, ready for a sprint down the runway. Once you cross the finish line you will receive the highly coveted Spitfire 10K medal, this year featuring a very special 10th anniversary design.
Our Roll of Honour cards enable you to carry the name of a Battle of Britain Pilot with you on your run. By finding out more about your pilot and sharing their stories you help to keep their history alive!

For the whole family!
Our Spitfire Family Run is also back for 2024! This 1-kilometre run is perfect for both younger ones and the whole family. Family Run runners will be sent a race pack with race number and receive a unique race medal after crossing the finish line.
Marshals along the racecourse will ensure that our young runners are monitored at all times. Runners under 8 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian*.
*Accompanying adults are free but won’t receive a medal or race number – for the full experience, we suggest you enter the race alongside your children!

Your support for this event enables the RAF Museum, a registered Charity (charity no. 1197541), to continue telling the inspiring stories of RAF personnel, just like The Few – the courageous Battle of Britain Pilots and Crew who fought in the skies above Britain in 1940 and the continuing story of the RAF.

All runners of the Spitfire 10K to be 15 years and older. Family Run runners under 8 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
