Guy Thomas- Tour Guide

What I do
My role is a Volunteer Tour Guide based at Hendon, following a thorough induction and training, 5 years ago, I have managed to deliver many guided tours for the general public and specialist visitor groups.

What I love
Presenting the story of the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Naval Air Service during WW1 leading to the eventual formation of the Royal Air Force in 1918. Seeing and hearing the responses from visitors to the WW1 in the Air exhibition, young and old, is a great delight for me.

What I get
Pride and satisfaction at being able to develop stories that contribute to the RAF Museum’s fantastic collections and working with colleagues across the Museum to achieve this.
