The Royal Aero Club Collection is an archive collection of aviation material including documents, trophies, models and paintings dating from the late 1800′s to the modern day.

The archives include The Minute Books of the main Committee of the Aero Club – later the Royal Aero Club – covering the period 1901 to 1956. The Minute Books have been optically scanned, and the digitised images can be searched and viewed online.

This development opens up exciting opportunities for detailed research into the history of the Club.
The Collection also includes unique scrap books and albums of Press Cuttings that were compiled by or about three hugely influential aviation pioneers: Frank Hedges Butler, the Hon. C S Rolls, and Claude Grahame-White.

The Collection is accessible at the RAF Museum. However, much of the information has been digitised and indexed to make it more widely available to the public for research through the web-site of the Royal Aero Club Collection.
