Higher, Faster, Further – The RAF 1919 – 1939

Published on: 5 December 2023

We have launched today, 5 December, a new permanent exhibition, ‘Higher, Faster, Further  – The RAF 1919-1939’

The exhibition tells the story of the RAF in the period between the First and Second World War – from the establishment of the RAF’s identity to its expansion around the world.

The interwar years were a period of continuous evolution, with significant technological advancement and development in the RAF itself as an organisation.

The exhibition showcases valuable artefacts representing these developments and the stories of people who have contributed to the RAF story.
RAF stories in the interwar period are still relevant today – we would love to hear your thoughts on topics covered in the exhibition.
