The Space Odyssey Planetarium

Due to popular demand, the Space Odyssey Mobile planetarium is back at the RAF Museum this Easter! Set inside the spectacular Galileo Dome for a live and interactive experience which will educate and entertain visitors of all ages during a session of interstellar excitement.

Bubbly Maths

This Easter, the RAF Museum is teaming up with Bubbly Maths to provide fun and engaging Bubble shows! In this live and interactive show, see the world of maths and science come to life through soap bubbles and massive balloons.

This award winning, Guinness World Record holding artist will take you on a journey full of bubbles, colourful giant balloon shapes and laughter! The wonderful Caroline engages children to love learning and enjoy mathematics and science! Audiences of all ages exercise their maths “muscles” without even realising it, whilst thoroughly enjoying mathematical puzzles and activities with lots of audience interaction and massive visual props.

Up an’ At ‘Em History Have-a-Go Activities

Are you brave enough to embark on a mission that will test your speed, brain, and teamwork skills?

Back by popular demand, we have once again partnered up with the fantastic UP AN’ AT ‘EM! HISTORY! to provide a fun and engaging experience for all. Costumed re-enactors will take young aviators through four different activities as they look to prove their skills. These activities will be a test of determination, ingenuity, and teamwork skills.

Robot Racing!

The Dash Robots are back and ready for action. Are you? Come and drive a bot around the Hangar 6 Mezzanine and learn the basics of coding.

S-T-E-M Aircraft Access

During the Easter break, visitors will have unprecedented access to not one, not two or even three but four of the Museum’s most significant aircraft!

To celebrate the Easter Holidays’ theme of Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths the aircraft selected will begin with each of the S-T-E-M letters. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with the Bristol Sycamore, Hawker Tempest, English Electric Canberra and Gloster Meteor.

The aircraft access sessions will be 50 minutes long in total. This will be broken down as spending ten minutes with each aircraft with an additional ten minutes to travel between.

Airfix Make-and-Take Workshops

Come and join us for Airfix Make-and-Take Workshops, where families can come together to build a model of the Sopwith Pup. The kits can be made on-site or taken away to be completed at home.

Kits, paint, glue and brushes all included.

The recommended age for this workshop is 4 and up.

RC Helicopter Scavenger Hunt and Time Trial

Calling all aspiring helicopter pilots!

This Easter break, the RAF Museum will be offering the opportunity for all to hone their flying skills through its remote control helicopter scavenger hunt and time trial. To qualify for the time trial, visitors will have to scour the Museum for the secret coded message before navigating the course in the quickest time possible to claim their place at the top of the leaderboard.

Lego Workshop 

We need the help of young engineers to design a LEGO aeroplane capable of ruling the airways so they can be used as a guide for future development. Little engineers will have 45 minutes to create the best LEGO aeroplane possible before dressing up as a pilot and taking a selfie with their creation for their pilot licence.
