What do we have?

Of the Hyderabad we have a cockpit lamp Mk.1, 74/A/1280, and spare bulb, 77/A/1402, both donated by Mr. D.I. Newman. Another contemporary Cockpit Lamp Mk 1 (X003-6605) was recently donated by Mr. B. Hasler.

Also held is item 73/R/175 – a ‘Switchbox’, Identification, No. I Mk.II – a combined Morse key and selector switch panel for identification lights, as carried on the Hyderabad and Virginia. Donated by Mr. G. Oxley.

Slightly more substantial are our reminders of the Hinaidi – Four bladed wooden Bristol Jupiter VIII propeller 68/E/706, a private purchase from Tring, and A Jupiter VIII engine to fit it to – 72/E/517, originally located in a cabinet maker’s workshop in the Rhondda Valley in the 1950s.
