Propaganda leaflets

We have several bound volumes containing examples of leaflets dropped over Europe during the Second World War. Each volume covers a period of one or two months and includes a summary of the numbers dropped as well as translations of each leaflet. We also have many unbound examples of leaflets.

A small number of leaflets intended for use in other theatres is also held.

A volume is also held by the Museum containing examples of leaflets produced by the War Office during the First World War. These were intended to be distributed by aeroplane, balloon and trench mortar. Further examples of propaganda used in more recent conflicts, such as Malaya and Cyprus, can be also be found in personal archive collections.
