Cobham Arrives in Rangoon

On the 6 February 1925, Alan Cobham arrived at Rangoon, Burma to large crowds.

Cobham may have had no elephants to protect his biplane when he landed but he did have the Governor’s personal bodyguard to assist him.

However, one old lady did make it under the legs of the bodyguards and managed to hug Sir Sefton Brancker to welcome him to Rangoon.

Cobham and his companions left for England on 8 February 1925 on the return journey of this momentous flight.
