Cobham’s Around Africa Companions
Sir Alan Cobham’s wife Lady Cobham joined him for the first time together with assistant pilot Captain Worrall, engineers F Green and C E Conway and cameraman S R Bonnett.
Cobham always badly missed his wife on his flights so he decided that he simply had to take her with him on this journey as his secretary.
Assistant pilot Captain Worrall joined Cobham as an expert seaplane pilot.
Cobham also needed the experienced cameraman S R Bonnett to capture the remarkable footage of his African adventure for the British public.
